Undoubtedly the most-photographed building in Germany, Neuschwanstein is a 19th-century Romanesque Revival palace commissioned by Ludwig II of Bavaria. Foot traffic on the bridge where I stood moved the camera and made standard stitching impossible. This image was composed largely by hand.

Great find, David! Those are some wonderful pictures. The history of "mad" King Ludwig will always be murky, but there's adequate reason to believe he was murdered.

If this is, as you suggest, "the most-photographed building in Germany," then your stunning 0.87 gigapixel hand-held GigaPan may be the best ever taken of this magnificent building.
