- Description
-
River restoration site at the mouth of the Bear River. Levees in the area were set back from the channel of the Bear River, and a riparian forest was planted in the floodplain. New residential development in the background is Plumas Lake. The Plumas Lake area flooded after levees to the north failed during major storms in 1986 and 1997.
