Description

The drilling at this well is almost done. Hydraulic fracturing is about to begin. According to my measurements on Google Earth, the house in front of the well is 330 feet from the wall of the compound. the day after I made this image, the drilling tower was removed and set up on another nearby site. In another part of the image, notice that the excavation for a pipeline is underway. Above that, in the far distance, white PVC pipes run across fields. There's a hard hat walking along one of those lines. I wonder if he's looking for leaks. The pipes aren't buried, and don't carry gas. Apparently they move frac water from a central frac pond (like the one above) to well sites.
