- Description
-
Looking north from the fortifications of Elizabeth Castle, towards the shoreline that forms St Aubins Bay, on the south coast of Jersey, to the west (left) can be seen the headland of Noirmont and it's navigational beacon tower, to the north east the harbour and the town of St. Helier, with on the high ground the fortification known as Fort Regent, now a leisure centre.
A closer inspection of the harbour area reveals that most of the outer harbour is built by land reclaimation, with the current reclaimation site situated to the east (right).
