I shot this with 35mm film in 1989 (maybe, but it might have been as late as '93) and my Canon AE-1 (unless it was the Fuji I was using...look, I wasn't keeping track of much back then, ok?). I've scanned the negs and have been working on them off and on over the past few years, and thought I'd throw what I have into APG. This is what came out on the first try, and I kind of like the collage-ness of it. I'm planning on making a "real" version, but I like this one because it's a good example of the city at that time. City hall itself was pretty dirty, a tall building had burnt down next to it and a new one was being built, and the traffic circle around City Hall can be kind of confusing, like this image.

fetching snapshots...

Thanks, I'm glad you think so. I agree, the way it all fell together "wrong" looks like how it feels to stand in a busy city. It looks kind of like jazz, if you know what I mean. I'm going to make a "proper" version of it eventually. I think some of the images were flipped. Like I said, these are individual frames of film.

Although this is not stiched together well, I actually rather like it. It has a very artistic feel to me that conveys a lot about the place in feeling more than just flat information that a normaly formatted panaramic does.
