- Description
-
With the housing boom and its ensuing bust, large acreages of farm and grazing lands, as well as natural areas, were graded, roaded, and dug up to install sewer, power, and other infrastructure. Erosion control has been difficult to manage on many of these sites, as many of the developers have gone broke during this time. While this site is not necessarily posing erosion problems, the image shows a site in the Sacramento River Watershed that represents a stalled development.
