On the morning of the 24th of January 1900 Major General Neville Lyttelton sent the Kings Royal Rifles to assault Twin Peaks. The force was split in two. The attack on this peak was led by Major Bewicke-Copley. On the afternoon of the 24th the Kings Royal Rifles capture Twin Peaks from the Lydenburg and Carolina burghers.
