Description

This is beaver pond about .5 miles inside Gate 43 of the Quabbin Reservoir watershed area. It's located off of Greenwich St. in west Hardwick, MA, USA. The Quabbin is the main water supply for metropolitan Boston and the largest body of water in Massachusetts. In the pond you'll see two beaver mounds that may have been abandoned. The water level is quite low. This pano was made with eight shots from a Nikon D3x. Copyright (c) 2010, James M. Hunt, all rights reserved.
