Description

It's the 1st of June, and Spring is finally clearing the ice and snow off the Arctic tundra. With temperatures approaching the 40's (F) it won't be long before the grass turns green and the telltale white of this winter's snow disappears.

This is Devil's Lake, which is the Kotzebue municipal water supply, It still has ice and some snow lingering near its banks. Beside the lake are some interesting relics of years past. I am especially fond of the drill heads. Have a look around, and see what treasures you can find.
