I captured this gigapan in October 2006 while in
Rajasthan. The interior courtyard walls of this
merchant's home are covered in murals
depicting Hindu mythology and scenes from travels
around the world. There are many Havelis like it
in the area, and they are really fun to walk
around in and see all the beautiful and rich
paintings. Many of them are not in this good
condition, but some have been maintained or
restored. I used an early prototype of the Gigapan
hardware, and the button pusher wasn't as
reliable as it is now. The white fuzzy-edged
rectangles are where there were missing tiles in
the gigapan.
