When a construction site is under way it is often of significance to document the project in such a way that if something untoward takes place the images can be consulted to see if any details in the gigapans might shed light on the incident. Take a series of deconstruction or construction gigapans of a site can be a very helpful tool in sorting out the details of an incident that might take place. Preserving the historic stages of a project of any kind in vivid closeup panoramic detail is something not to be overlooked.
