- Description
-
This three metre long ichthyosaur (fossil marine reptile) was discovered in December 2009 and, following gaining permissions, was extracted in early January 2010 from Broad Ledge, to the east of Lyme Regis. Preparation was complete by the end of July 2010.
The ichthyosaur is almost certainly Leptopterygius tenuirostris, a less common form of ichthyosaur identified by its long, slender snout and the shape of the front limb and paddle bones.

Richard - that is a very impressive specimen, and image. Good luck with the hunt for more. Jeremy
