Well, technically California's state rock is called "serpentine" but the proper rock name is serpentinite. I dedicate this GigaPan to all of the geologists fighting CA Senate Bill 624. I highly recommend following Garry Hayes' blog coverage here: geotripper.blogspot.com/2010/08/serpentine-nazis-serial-killer-hatred.html Will open in a new tab or window You can also follow recent developments on Twitter by searching for the hashtag #CAserpentine. If you live in California it may not be too late to contact your state legislator and tell them that you oppose SB#624.

Long Live #CAserpentine as California's State Rock!
