Low tide on the Cairns esplanade. In years gone by this was a mangrove swamp - but careful pulling up of young mangroves has kept it clear, so tourists can have a view. Saltwater crocodiles are occasionally in residence, so walking out is not recommended. Various crabs and birds are visible.
