Les Ecrehous reef at low tide (at high tide this is totally submerged and forms the seabed). This view is looking north towards the island of Sark, to the left (west) is Jersey, and to the right (east) is the coast of France, this area is known as the Cherbourg or Cotentin Peninsular, where the Cape de la Hague Nuclear Reprocessing Plant can be seen on the horizon! (For more details about the history and geology of this remarkable location see"1 of 3").
