I usually use the row-down or row-up patterns instead of the column patterns because the settling time is less for yaw movements than pitch movements. I do use column patterns for side views of crowds and music concerts. Yes, I am using a Pro. You would never be able to use a Canon 500mm f4 and a teleconverter on something smaller.

This is a super shot. I like your idea about shooting a reference at each row (do you mean column)? Are you using the Epic Pro?
