Site of the Viking Council (Althing) for 1000 years.
This is the where the North American and European continental plates meet and create a dramatic cliff and valley environment.
Where the group if children is gathered is where large numbers of people would gather and listen to the Lawspeaker (elected leader).
Though the view from the cliff is stunning walking through the cliffs (on the left) is just as powerful.
