Lots of interesting things to explore in this image. Explore and take some snapshots of interesting happenings.
Note, behind the Brooklyn Bridge, the Manhattan Bridge crosses the East River. The third bridge in the distance is the Williamburg Bridge.
Not my best effort, by any means, but still an interesting Gigapan. My major mistake was not pausing the robot when the ship was passing under the bridge (I caught a few others in time). I found a good angle for this photo (from Pier 17) and will return again some day for another effort (hopefully with a better camera). I was also curious how the clouds would come out (could be better), considering they were moving ever so slightly, but moving nonetheless.
Here is a Gigapan I took from the opposite side of the river on the evening of 9/11/09: gigapan.org/gigapans/32968/
One last thing to note -- this is the first image I've stitched with the new GigaPan Stitch 1.0.0805 software and it was FAST!
