Looking upstream, across and downstream on the Swift River, Belchertown Massachusetts.
This was stitched together from 3 separate panoramas. Because the distance to the far bank (looking directly across stream) is considerably shorter than looking up or downstream, 3 panoramas were taken, with the focus being set differently each time. To make the stitched image match up better (in particular, to eliminate duplicating images), 3 columns of photos were removed before starting the stitching process. This is intended to be one of a series of Gigapans taken at the same location in different seasons, to compare condition and phenology stage of riparian flora (and some fauna) through the year.
