Description

In 1881 a fierce storm lashed across the east coast of Scotland causing many fatalities amongst the seafaring communities. Eyemouth lost 189 fishermen. This is a small town so it it is almost unimaginable to lose such a high percentage of the male population.

You'll see the RNLI offshore lifeboat moored bottom left; a reminder and a comfort should it never happen again.

This is not my finest Gigapan, and I don't like the curved image, but to crop in Photoshop removed too much detail. I hope you enjoy exploring it.
