This is a panorama of 21 images taken with a Canon XTi using a 28mm lens. The field of view is about 180 degrees. Processed in Photoshop CS3. The 250 mb image is 15,822 x 5582 pixels, which would print about 18' by 6' at 72 dots per inch.
The Tarahumara Indians en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tarahumara
live in the canyon and are known for the long distance walking/running, what they call "foot throwing". Many will hike from the canyon to the rim each day to sell their crafts; children at boarding schools will walk 4-5 hrs to/from their homes each weekend.
