Saguaro National Park is divided into two sections lying on the east and west sides of Tucson, Arizona. The Sonoran Desert is the perfect environment for majestic forests of giant Saguaro. Barrel, cholla, and prickly pear, are some of the other cacti in abundance, but the Saguaro take center stage. These cacti can grow anywhere from 15 to 50 feet and live for 150 years or more.
Every May, the arms of the Saguaro develop night blooming flowers and the sweet, red fruit matures in late June.
