We came across these arrangements of stones in cairns while on a cycle ride in the Karwendel mountains. I have no idea if they were organised or are spontaneously built by passers-by.
The location is beside the Isar river, which has it's source a few kilometres further up this valley and eventually flows through Munich. You can see bits of the river in the picture (right hand side).
I used autofocus for this gigapan. Not sure if this was the right decision.
