This panorama was taken upon the east wing of the central lake in Washington Park, Hyde Park, Chicago IL. It shows the two peninsulas extending into the lake, teeming with various types of wild lives. This represents the dichotomy of the prairie ecosystems in the urban area of Chicago. It is also a perfect example of an ecosystem that contains both water and land. The intertwining of the aquatic and terrestrial plant lives offer us a unique perspective into the prairies of the Great Plains.
