This is the view from the public balcony of the Shrine. It was a rather windy day and thus the need for higher shutter speeds and larger aperature in order to reduce the camera vibrations. The sky was mixed sun and cloud but I don't think I had as much of an issue with that factor in this series as I did in the 50mm version shot before this (found here: www.gigapan.org/gigapans/48491/).
I have just added a blog entry about shooting this series of Panoramic Images here:
yourdigitaleye.blogspot.com/2010/05/gigapans-part-1.html Will open in a new tab or window
Richard Calhoun also has a couple of great looking high res panos of the Shrine from 2008.
