Along the southern border of the city of Phoenix lies the Gila River Indian Community, an alliance of two tribes, the Akimel O'odham and the Pee Posh, formed in 1859. Today this 10-story hotel and large casino have been developed to establish self-sufficiency for the community.
On the technical side, this clean stitch was the result of accidentally setting the telephoto lens to around 135mm instead of the full 300mm zoom, even though the FOV was set for 300mm. This turned out to be beneficial. I found that when the pan was repeated at the full 300 mm setting, the stitch had severe alignment problems in the repeating pattern of the windows, in spite of having the recommended 30% or more of overlap. Increasing overlap cured the issue. Overlap turned out to be 70% or more. There is probably an optimum overlap that relieves these issues, but this would take a lot of experimentation to find.
