Description

British heart foundation supplied this specimin.

Cells were isolated from Young, Female New Zealand white rabbits.
Cells were fixed with Karnovsky immediately after isolation (formaldehyde-glutaraldehyde fixative, cacodylate buffer).
Treated with OsO4, HDMS, and gold coated using a sputter coater.

This Gigapan is part of the NanoGigaPan project. Which is working to take large pictures of very small things.

This mosaic consists of 20 images taken at 8,000X magnification.
