- Description
-
The later winter weather has been warm and dry, which resulted in an early breakup of ice and snow covering the Bow River at Calgary. The ice here west of the Tenth Street Bridge includes huge chunks dragged over the river bottom by the river current and delicate crystals on surfaces sculpted by wind and sun - plus many more ice textures and shapes. A couple of geese have positioned themselves to view the events, as have several Calgarians (and their dogs).
