Gigapan of the Bill Williams River, Arizona. Taken one week following a 3000 cfs flood release from Alamo Dam. Before the dam was built, the Bill Williams would occasionally convey more than 25 times that discharge. The river is now an important riparian corridor with a complex mosaic of alluvial surfaces that reflect a complex history of regulated flow conditions.
