A gigantic Bucyrus 8750 dragline is being built as part of the expansion of the Keephills coal-fired power plant west of Edmonton, Alberta. This view shows the basic framework and many of the components ready to install. When finished it will weigh about 8000 tons and have bucket capacity of about 160 cubic meters on a boom of 425 feet.
