Description

A unparalleled beautiful view of Rochester is from the High Falls. This gagapan is a first in a series of views of downtown Rochester looking at the city from the High Falls bridge. For each season, a new gigapan will be taken showcasing this spectacular view of the city! This view represents a panoramic view of the Genesee River 96-foot waterfall and spectacular gorge and a visit to an urban cultural park that celebrates Rochester's earliest industrial area started during the Flour City era.

Photographers Note - This picture was taken on January 10, 2010 the day after the temperature in Rochester dipped down to almost 0 degrees! This GigaPan consists of 645 individual pictures stiched together, creating a 658 megapixel panogramic, with each picture taken at a focal length of 200mm.

@thomsonjf - Thanks much and glad you liked the shoot! If you do a search for "Rochester, NY" or my name "Skeeter Harris" I have done several others that are Rochester. I will be doing more of this scene for each season going forward in 2010.
