- Description
-
These imposing cliffs rise to more than 10,000 feet near Saskatchewan Crossing in Banff National Park.
The view is from Rampart Creek on the Icefield Parkway. The pinnacles near the top are eerie and mysterious, sometimes resembling cathedral towers. Dozens of small cascades tumble down from the upper cliffs as the snow melts. Mount Wilson also has a large glacier and snowfield on it's northeast slopes.
The summit ridge here is about 1600 meters (more than a mile) above this viewpoint.
