Canon G10 @ Epic100


This oak (Quercus robur L.) near Hersberg (eastern Luxembourg) is considered the oldest tree of Luxembourg. It´s supposed to be more than 1000 years old. Age measurements revealed about 560 years.

    Interesting tree. Compare it to the oldest pine tree (Pinus albicaulis) in Alberta, about 1200 years old. It was a small tree during the reign of Charlemagne. share.gigapan.org/viewGigapan.php?i d=30245
