  2. GigapanMagazine.org Will open in a new tab or window vol 2 issue 3 360 from Kakaako jetty, a favorite entry point for surfing the south shore. In the summer waves rise on the south shore and have recently gotten as big as 25 feet. In Hawaii we measure waves from the back, so a 25 foot wave means a 50 foot face, or more.
