    Very amazing 3-D Gigapixel image!     Sphere to Cylinder Projection might be the nature of this issue. Image 34816 was shot with the same settings and shows no such curvature. The subject of this image is somewhat different than that one this one has a foreground, The overlap of the rectangular images creates trapezoidal overlap regions out of the rectangual images taken of near field objects. Like rectangles pasted to cover a globe - there is overlap at the poles. A solution would be to define a horizontal line when the projection is in the spherical form - before it is stretched "over the cylinder" to form the rectangualr image.

    I will have to give that a try. More overlap seems to significantly improve stitiching results as well. Thanks, JT

    Nice panorama. I think that some of the curvature would go away if you were not so agressive with the FOV setting on the imager. The statistics are reporting 8.5 to 24% for horizontal overlap and 11.2 to 24.6 percent for vertical overlap. The default overlap is aproximately 30%. This overlap region is used to find common points between adjacent images during alignment.
