Each year hundreds of people come to the Jane Austen Festival in Bath. An established tradition is a parade in period costume. This year the festival set a world record for the largest number of people in period costume in one place at the same time - 400 people!
I tried to create a gigapan group photo with the help of Jackie Herring (the organiser) and a kind soldier called Trevor and this is the result. My thanks to the Jane Austen Centre for inviting me to take this shot and to everyone who was patient enough to take part in this experimental image.

Oh I think you only get points if you take snapshots otherwise it will make the judging difficult ;-) On the matter of pro/parachronisms I will remain mischievously silent. For now.

From my viewpoint, this is another astonishing GigaPan from Bath, England. How many cities would promote this sort of thing? How many cities would have the city identity that Bath has that could still pull it off? How many cities still have their historical building as many and as well perserved as what Bath has. This is my most favorite city in the world www.gigapan.org/viewConversation.ph p?id=40892 and this marvelous GigaPan adds to the unique collection of GigaPans your effort has provided to us. Anachronisms: Ten cars, which are parachronism - how many points and bonus marks is this? 10 and 10?
