This view looks south across the Dorset Wildlife Trust nature reserve at Tadnoll near Dorchester which was described by Thomas Hardy in 'The return of the native' as Egdon Heath. The panorama is taken from the top of an ancient burial site on the heath known as 'Old Knowle' and shows the scene in the Spring. Compare with the next gigapan taken from the same point in early September.
