Comments on Gigapan: Navajo Sandstone (Utah)

  2. Continuing on Rte. 12 to the east of "On a Clear Day..." (www.gigapan.org/gigapans/32030/), the road drops down further into the Navajo sandstone - there are some great views of the bedding layers in these rocks. The angled "crossbeds" are ancient sand dunes preserved in the sandstone.
