Modern Aircraft display, at the National Museum of the Air Force (formally the Air Force Museum) at Wright Patterson AFB (WPAFB), in Dayton Ohio.
Please help and identify as many of these aircraft as possible in snapshots.
This is that last of four panaramics that I shot of the museum in August of 2009. I have gone to the museum often during my life and seen radical changes in the layout and location of the museum, from a single building in Area C of the base, they moved to a newly built hanger in Area A by the Wright Brother's Memorial in the 1970s. This has since expanded to two additional hangers and a missile hall, with a fourth hanger in the plans. They also have a presidentional annex hanger accross the flight line, that houses some old AF 1s and presidential helicopters, much to much to see in one day, so if you plan on visiting the sight, make sure that you give yourself a few days to really take in the sight.
Most wonderful about it all, is that admission and parking at the museum is free.
So support the museum.
