- Description

A short hike from the Bow summit on the Icefields Parkway, Peyto Lake was named after pioneer explorer Bill Peyto. This is an early morning shot, around 9:00 AM when the air was calm, clear and the lighting was optimum. There was a slight breeze and the temps at the time were near freezing...not unusual at this altitude around 6800 feet.
Uploaded at 50% of the original 350 image file. I've restitched the original files at full size and will be uploading it shortly. it took more than 13 hours to assemble and stitch.
