Comments on Gigapan: Peyto Lake, Canadian Rockies, Banff National Park

A short hike from the Bow summit on the Icefields Parkway, Peyto Lake was named after pioneer explorer Bill Peyto. This is an early morning shot, around 9:00 AM when the air was calm, clear and the lighting was optimum. There was a slight breeze and the temps at the time were near freezing...not unusual at this altit...
