Brasilia Pontao - Paranoa Lake

Located at the banks of lake Paranoá, Pontão became a meeting point for the upper middle class in Brasilia. Pontão houses restaurants, bars, art fairs, music shows, kiosks, children's park, ATMs, etc.

More about Brasilia: The Capital City of Brazil created ex nihilo (out of nothing) in the centre of the country in 1956, was a landmark in the history of town planning. Inaugurated in 1960 (April 21st) it has a population of about 2,557,000 as of the 2008 census estimate, making it the fourth largest city in Brazil.

Brasilia is a masterpiece of modernist architecture. It is the only city in the world built in the 20th century to be awarded (in 1987) the status of Cultural Heritage of Humanity by UNESCO. Brasilia is celebrating its 50th Anniversary in 2010.

Pontão Sul - Lago Paranoá

As margens do Lago Paranoá, situado no Lago Sul, uma das regiões mais ricas de Brasília, o Pontão recebe todos os meses, em média, cerca de 200 mil pessoas que freqüentam seus restaurantes, bares, quiosques, parquinho para crianças, caixas eletrônicos, feiras, exposições, show, eventos esportivos, entre outros.

Informações sobre Brasília: A construção de Brasília teve início em 1956. A Capital foi inaugurada oficialmente em 21 de abril de 1960. Hoje é a quarta maior cidade do Brasil, com mais de 2.557.000 habitantes (Censo 2008). Brasília é um Patrimônio Cultural da Humanidade, UNESCO, desde 7 de dezembro de 1987.
