This photograph was taken in Jerusalem at a beautiful open-air market. My husband and I were on a wonderful tour of Israel sponsored by AJL. The market was incredibly busy and crowded, as everyone was getting ready for Shabbat (Friday services with a festive meal afterwards.) We set up our gigapan camera in the middle of all the activity and let it do its job, which took a good 20 – 30 minutes. The robotic gigapan attracted a lot of attention! All kinds of people came up and asked us about it. This is a great way to meet people! We loved talking to Israeli’s, and found them to be quite interested in new technologies and photography.

fetching snapshots...
