Completed by artist Harry W. Scheuch in 1937, the Scottdale Post Office Mural is an example of one of Scheuch's few large-scale works. The mural occupies three of four walls of the building's interior hall. Two smaller murals occupy the shorter ends of the hall, while the largest (partially seen here) occupies the entirety of northern wall. This mural walks the viewer through the industrial history of the Scottdale region beginning on the left with early iron furnaces.
