One for the geology people. This beach is supposed to be good for fossils but we didn't find any. Incidentally, there is real geological interest in the area - see the gigapans of Ian Stimpson (www.gigapan.org/viewProfile.php?userid=4217).

To be perfectly honest, I haven't had time to fully explore it, as I'm on the road on a GigaPanning expedition. Even if the fine geological details aren't immediately visible, though, it's always worthwhile to get a context of where the interesting spots sit in relation to each other. Even what I see in the zoomed out view probably has educational potential. But what matters most is that you're thinking about us geologists! ;-)

You are very welcome. Is there actually anything of interest in this shot? I won't be offended if you say 'no' :-) I assume the area is of geological interest because there are gigapans of rock formations in this general area that were taken by a geologist.
