    Description:

    These two hills are apparently unconsolidated material (not solid bedrock) deposited as the glacier retreated. It is not clear how they were formed.

    These are the upper and lower overlooks at Rattlesnake Point.

    Description:

    The more or less horizontal band through this snapshot is a kame terrace where a river was pinned against the hill by glacial ice.

    Description:

    This is one several rocky ridges near Lake Dunmore which support pitch pines (Pitch Pine-Oak-Heath Rocky Summit).
