Built in 1847-1848 for the New York and Erie Railroad, the Starrucca Viaduct was at the time the most expensive railway bridge in the world. The viaduct is constructed from locally quarried bluestone. It crosses the valley of Starrucca Creek near Lanesboro, Pennsylvania.
