The shadows seem askew because this is a >360
degree panorama. That's hard to perceive
without an atmosphere, but it is consistent with
the shadows. The small hill on the left side of
the panorama is the same one as seen on the right
side. The leveling of the stitched view isn't
perfect so they aren't exactly the same height
from the bottom of the panorama.

Why are the shadows all over the place here? The
sun is obviously in the left hand corner, yet the
shadow of the astronaut goes towards the sun. The
rover's shadow is going the right way, though
it's a little short. It should be longer if
the sun was so low. I'm so confused!
