Description

Tamgaly (Tonbaly) is an archaeological landscape located in SE Kazakhstan. The area boasts thousands of images carved into the black rocks. The images date as far back as 2000 BCE and include some of the region's best examples of ritualistic prehistoric motifs, such as sun-head figures, scenes of war, hunting, dancing, and more. Zoom into the rock-faces and see what kinds of prehistoric carvings you can find.
