Politics in the Bible? The place of the Jewish textual tradition in the history of Western political thought.

We looked at the Judaic contribution to Western Political thought by studying the Hebrew Bible and Jewish and Christian commentaries on the Bible. Through the lens of Professor Schochet's adolescent theory, which views God as an omniscient father figure, we examined in depth the creation story, the first two commandments, natural religion, and the Haskalah.
